Remember the show Friends? Yea…Pretty much best show ever from back then. Here, they show it in many places and Sarah and I actually sat down at a restaurant just so we could watch Friends! I love Friends… I was super excited. Sarah thought I was a weirdo. We weren’t even hungry. :-p

We tried again, unsuccessfully to leave Luang Prabang. Public transport really is quite dire in Laos. We’ve ended up buying tickets to go on a mini-van in the morning. The dining area. The stairs go up to the dorm. The entrance to the kitchen is under the stairs. To the right of the dining area are computer stations.

This is inside the lobby of Refugio. There’s a television in here, and around the corner is a huge dining area beneath high A-frame ceilings. Upstairs in the dorm, the beds are all comfy singles, no bunkbeds – what? This place is awesome.

I love the mornings now, because it’s the only sure time of day when it isn’t raining. We sat out on the patio of Refugio this morning and had coffee and bagels that we picked up from La Ceiba Bakery yesterday. It was so quiet and chill.
